What is your role with Warralily and what does it involve?
I’ve been appointed as Warralily’s Community Development Officer and my role is to help Warralily become an independent Community as well as help form and build relationships with local businesses, Geelong City Council, stakeholders within the local community and also to help facilitate education sessions.
Where have you previously worked?
For the past 7 years I’ve worked for Not-For-Profit Organisations and I’m also currently working with the YMCA as their Community Engagement Director which entails activating the school spaces under the PPP (public, private, partnership) contracts for the local community
Are you local to Geelong?
I’ve been living in Torquay since last year but I was previously living in Melbourne. I also lived in the UK for 12 years before moving back to Melbourne.
What do you love most about your job?
I love empowering the Community
What do you do in your spare time?
I’m always at the beach surfing, running or spending time with my puppies – I have 2 Italian Grey Hounds, Mr Jules and Remy
Do you play any instruments?
I’ve played the guitar since high school
Where is your favourite place that you’ve travelled?
I would have to say France because of the food and wine
If you could invite any 3 people to dinner, who would you invite and why?
- Tori Amos because she’s my favourite musician
- My Nanna, I think she has the best conversation topics out of anyone I know
- James Corden so they could all do Carpool Karaoke on the way over
