Master planned for community pride

Published Mon 12 Dec 2016

Warralily is Geelong's first and largest master planned community. This means everything the community needs is planned upfront, including sports and recreation, schools, community centres and shopping and dining precincts set within a fully landscaped environment.

Master planned for community pride A master planned community creates an opportunity to build a community that residents can be proud of, right from the very start. It is well documented that best practice urban design can create feelings of wellbeing, strengthen social bond and increase a sense of belonging.

At Warralily, every new house also contributed to creating a truly modern and liveable community where people can thrive. Building a new home from scratch is an exciting opportunity but it can also be daunting.

The Warralily design guidelines have been created to guide and support residents through the process. With around 12,500 homes planned at Warralily, a consistently high quality of homes and landscaping will ensure outstanding street appeal is achieved throughout the community.

The Warralily landscaping rebate provides additional help for residents to plant a beautiful front garden as soon as they move in and residents have used their own personal style and individuality particularly when it comes to their letterboxes.

The fascinating array of letterboxes on display at Warralily shoes the pride residents have in their new home and are a great conversation starter. A walk around the neighbourhood can be an opportunity to start many conversations and this often the time when new neighbours get to know each other. Public spaces also play a critical role in creating a cohesive community.

Warralily has 82ha of public space for residents where birthdays are celebrated, community events are staged, regular exercise takes place and children play. Building a house in a master planned community is an opportunity to experience the satisfaction of creating a place that you love to come home to in a community you can be proud of.
